I created this image to celebrate New Zealand and the history and culture of our amazing country. Growing up, I was surrounded by the places featured in this series, and I felt a deep connection to New Zealand and its people. Through this work, I aim to celebrate all cultures, starting with the original people of New Zealand, the Maori.
However, I also want to honor the journey these places have undergone throughout history. This journey has not always been pleasant, but when viewed as a whole, it creates a rich tapestry of our heritage. This series captures only a small part of the journey of our country and its people. As time progresses, these snapshots may no longer be seen or accessed by future generations.
By preserving these moments, I hope to share the beauty and spirit of New Zealand with you, and to celebrate the ever-changing story of our land and its people.
